Efva Attling

It all started with a swan-inspired silver bracelet. Efva was only eleven years old when she made her very first piece of jewellery, inspired by the elegant shapes of the swan. At the time, no one knew that this was the first step in what would later become a successful design empire.

At the age of sixteen, Efva got a job as an apprentice with one of Sweden's foremost goldand silversmiths. Even then, the love for the craft was a fact, but it would take more than twenty-five years before Efva found her way back to jewellery design.

At the age of seventeen, Efva was scouted by the legendary Eileen Ford, founder of the influential model agency Ford models. This was the start of a twelve-year modeling career with prestigious jobs in London, Paris, New York and Milan, among other places. In 1981, Efva had grown tired of modeling and therefore decided to change direction and form the Swedish pop group X-models. The music group produced several hits and was awarded two gold records. In addition to music, she worked as a clothing designer for major brands such as Levi's and H&M. The brand Pretty Pregnant under which she designed maternity clothes.

It wasn't until 1996 that Efva Attling chose to take up the craft again and start designing jewelry. Efva's personality and interests permeate her designs. She creates elegant jewelry with an underlying thought, something Efva herself calls "Beauty with a thought".
